Here's an item just for Friday fun. I was browsing around Sue Pelletier's Face2Face meetings blog and came across her mention of the ConferenceBike. Imagine scheduling your next 7-person conference not in the third-floor meeting room, but on a bicycle. Yes, you read that right. One person steers and up to six others can face the center and pedal, discussing which web conferencing solution is right for the company's needs. Let's see a telepresence solution mimic this meeting experience!
The bike is made in Germany and can be delivered internationally. For my New York readers (and cynics who don't believe anything unusual or humorous can ever be real), you can try out the bike yourself with a fee-based ride through Central Park or Times Square, courtesy of PartyBike.com. It's $150/hour of use (per bike, not per person) and they have lots of pictures on their site showing it in action around the Big Apple.
