A few weeks ago I broke the big news that Webex had acquired the Isoten line of vacuum tension rolls, vacuum chill rolls, and vacuum belts for heavy manufacturing. This week my exclusive is that RainDance has raised $23.7 million to develop a NanoReactor for programmable handling of cells and fluid samples using microfluidics and nanotechnology.
I told you people that collaborative web conferencing was becoming a commodity and that the vendors would have to branch out to expand their value proposition. I just never thought it would happen like this!
Oh, all right... This RainDance is RainDance Technologies Inc., with a capital D in the middle of their name. You really have to watch the capitalization on these companies to tell who's who!
