I just saw a column in the India Times stating that WebEx recently laid off employees and changed top management roles and titles. The article claims that several middle-management employees were asked to leave because of non-performance.
The article says "eight of these employees were from India" - giving the impression that the changes were not only local to that country, but worldwide.
I have not been able to corroborate or verify this story from any other news sources so far. I sent in a query to WebEx's corporate communications group, but it is still early on the West Coast and they haven't started their work day yet. It's always nice to be greeted by this kind of inquiry first thing on a Monday morning!
