Packetel is running a fun promotional contest that should get their name out there and also provide some amusement. You can submit a web conference blunder, faux pas, goof, or embarrassing moment and be in the running to win an iPhone.
Details are in this press release. I don’t think anybody can top the guy who was caught with child porn because he couldn’t figure out how to turn off his screen sharing application, but I’ll be eager to see what people come up with. If you want other examples, you can always look at this story in the Wall Street Journal about how to embarrass yourself online.
Packetel’s web conference service is known as Turbo Meeting and they offer it in both a SaaS (vendor hosted) model and as a locally installed device on your own network. The contest runs through the month of July.
