We have another entrant in the ever-growing category of webinar listing services. Peelon.com seems to be based somewhere in Europe. There is not much information on the web site to glean anything about the company, contacts, or management.
I’ll say this for it… It’s simple. One page letting you choose a type of event filter, an “Industry” filter, and a date range. Results are displayed in a columnar list on the same page.
To add an event, you click a rather small and unobtrusive link in the top right. Again, simplicity is the watchword. You fill in the basic information about your event and click Submit. There is no charge. For some reason, it asks you to enter an event time, even though there is no time zone field and the time is never displayed in the listing results.
The one interesting feature of this search engine is that events have a language associated with them. This is very useful in Europe with so many languages used in a relatively small area. Ten languages are listed, covering most of Continental Europe. However there seems to be a bias against Scandinavian countries, as none of those languages are offered as choices.
Welcome to the boxing ring, Peelon!
