The Virtual Edge Institute just announced availability of a new web site listing providers in the world of web collaboration and online events. The Virtual Edge Directory includes categories such as Collaboration Platforms, Video Conference Platforms, Virtual Event & Meeting Solutions, Webinar & Webcasting Solutions, and Web Conferencing Services (where I am proud to say you can find my company, Webinar Success).
According to the launch press release, the directory is intended to be a sort of “digital yellow pages” listing technology, solution and service providers for digital meetings, events, learning, and community. They claim an initial content library of more than 400 companies.
You can search for free or submit your company for free if it is not yet listed. I assume there must be some sort of revenue model for Virtual Edge in having companies pay to get featured spots in the listing results, but I can’t find any such information online and they haven’t asked me to pony up any fees so far.
This is a great resource for people researching technology or service providers. I applaud Virtual Edge for putting it out there as a free public utility. Check it out!
