Yesterday I wrote about some positive and negative features in various implementations of webinar reporting from some of the major players. It occurs to me that I omitted a great reporting convenience feature I can only remember seeing in ON24's Webcast Elite. Feel free to post a comment if you know of a similar implementation in another product.
Very simply, it is the ability to provide self-service report access links so that others can view key webinar information. The most common use is for seeing registration reports in the days and weeks leading up to an event. As a webinar producer, I am constantly peppered with client requests for the latest registration list. Presenters, marketers, and stakeholders want to know how signups are going, whether specific invitees have registered, and what kinds of companies or job titles will make up the audience.
In most webinar/webcast products, this means that I need to log in to the central account, access the webinar in question, run the registration report, save it to my hard drive, and email it to the interested party or parties. It can be a hassle when managing lots of webinars or when the presentation team gets anxious and asks for frequent updates.
ON24 instead gives me a link associated with each webinar as soon as I schedule it. I can distribute the link to the key stakeholders and tell them they can click through as often as they want in order to get updates on registration status. Everyone is happy.
I sure wish this functionality was more common!
