Is one of your old WebEx recordings not playing back when you attempt to access it? Well then I have bad news for you… You missed your notification of a major security update from Cisco affecting WebEx Meeting Center, Training Center, Event Center, and Support Center. Every old recording link you had in your files has been updated. Time to update every piece of documentation and every online web page that references an archived recording.
I don't have an active administrator account with WebEx these days, so I completely missed the update notice when they sent it to account administrators. Fortunately a loyal reader alerted me to the situation after he contacted WebEx asking why he couldn't see one of his recordings.
I did some quick searching in Google and on the WebEx support site and couldn't find details direct from Cisco. But I found the following page from Verizon Business Conferencing with all the information, including an explanatory PowerPoint:
